| Welcome
Within our community there are many people who spend long hours alone in their homes, unable to get out and about. Their day can often be long, uninteresting and
lonely.
Rural Bassetlaw Befriending provides a link between isolated people over the age of fifty and their local community.
The Scheme is run by a co-ordinator who is supported by volunteers who respond to the needs of isolated and socially excluded people in a variety of ways.
The Scheme also employs a Group Development Worker to establish and support activity groups in rural villages.
