Rural Bassetlaw Befriending provides support to people over fifty living in Bassetlaw, north Nottinghamshire.

Our volunteer Befrienders offer one to one support to elderly people living in rural east Bassetlaw while our Activity Friends volunteers support those over 50 across the district who want to become more physically active.

We can also help to set up and develop groups & activities in rural communities where there is a lack of provision.

Anyone interested in joining the scheme should fill in and return one of our referrals forms. We take referrals from organisations or from family & friends and individuals.

Rural Bassetlaw Befriending is staffed by a Befriending Co-ordinator and a Group Development Co-ordinator (both part time) and we have a Steering Group made up of representatives from local organisations and interested individuals. We are based in Tuxford at the Mine of Information community resource centre.

Our service is free but if you would like to make a donation to the project please contact us.

RBB is a Rural Community Action Nottinghamshire voluntary project.
